Although the formula has long since been left in the dust, I feel comfortable in saying that if this game had hit shelves within a reasonable amount of time after the original, it would have stood a good chance of becoming a leader in the action genre.

As part of a new wave of "next-generation" 360 games which are short on content, questionable in structure, and passed off to the public at a high retail price, is certainly a title to be cautious of for gamers on a budget. If I could only afford to buy one title in a store full of choices, wouldn't be it.

Without the aid of a strategy guide, cheat codes, or any other manner of gaming aid, I managed to get all the way through Bullet Witch in just three hours. This puts me in a bit of a bind because, while it's a very fun game to play, Bullet Witch is just inexcusably short. Hell, I rented the game and I didn't feel like I got my money's worth, so how can I possibly recommend that anyone purchase it?
Game Description: Bullet Witch is set on a bleak Earth, in the year 2013. The human race is almost extinct as hideous demons and monsters dominate the planet. It's been decided that only a combination of ancient and modern combat can beat the se creatures. Alicia is a highly-trained soldier who also know ancient magic. The fate of the human race is in her hands, as she ventures into the world of monsters and fights them with her mix of magical arts and military equipment. Manage Alicia's health & magic meters to avoid running out of ammo or power—be strategic & play it safe, or the world dies with her.

How can something that seems like such a no-brainer turn out to be so bad? Any normal person would think that riding a giant fire-breathing dragon and then leaping from its back into a massive battle filled with hordes of enemies would make a pretty interesting, action-packed experience. In the case of Drakengard 2, it's not.
Game Description: Drakengard 2 takes place 18 years since the world-shattering events of the original game. The Union has once again appeared, in the guise of a group known as the Knights of the Seal. It appears that the world has found peace, but it is a deceptive peace. Behind the scenes, thousands of powerless people are trampled in the name of the Seal. Join a young hero named Nowe as he bonds with his dragon and faces a threat that can destroy the world! The bond with the dragon, the loyalty of friends and the love of those who need protection all come together in a gripping tale.

When asked to describe Square Enix's latest action role-playing game (RPG), Drakengard, most people talk about how it's a combination of Koei's Dynasty Warriors series and Sega's Panzer Dragoon games. This is an accurate assessment-but an even better one would be to say it's Square's version of Drakan: The Ancients' Gates, a sleeper PlayStation 2 title that was criminally overlooked.
