Suikoden IV – Consumer Guide

Mike Bracken's picture

According to ESRB, this game contains: Mild Language, Suggestive Themes, Use of Alcohol, Violence

Parents might be concerned because this title sports a Teen rating, but it's really not as daring as the rating suggests. There's nothing overly objectionable in the content of Suikoden IV, save for a few scantily clad women who join up with you at various points.

RPG fans are bound to be disappointed with this title as it doesn't live up to the legacy of the previous Suikoden games. This is a marginal RPG at best.

Casual gamers will find the archaic gameplay and bland graphics a turn off and will most likely trade this in for whatever game has the hottest graphics currently on the shelf.

Deaf and Hard of Hearing gamers will be pleased to know that the game is fully subtitled (save for a few seconds of one of the opening cutscenes).
