Brief Bio

Scott Jones was born and raised in rural upstate New York. He spent his early years playing organized sports, including 12 long years of football. But beneath the shoulder pads and helmet wasn't a football player, but a nerd—a videogame-loving nerd.

Scott holds an MFA in poetry and has worked as a substitute teacher, a waiter, a bartender, a mall Santa Claus and a real estate agent. He can quote T.S. Eliot and Rilke from memory, as well as tell you how to deal with the final boss in Metroid Prime. Though cities changed and jobs changed and girlfriends changed, one thing remained constant in Scott's life: his strange, intense love of videogames.

He currently lives in Queens, New York. He spends his days working as an editor at a men's sophisticate magazine and his nights playing games.
