Dance Dance Revolution has singlehandedly revolutionized videogames. Those who play it (master it) understand, and those that do not usually scoff at it for the very reasons given in the review. Many people look at someone playing it and say "that's too easy" or conversely, "that's too hard." But trust me, and trust the hordes of fanatics, that this game series has spawned.

Dance Dance Revolution is complete and utter bliss, all wrapped up in game form. The mechanics have been refined throughout the years, and the new versions are essentially perfect video games. Love it or hate it, I can't imagine a single decent claim one might have that this game is not excellent. Just because you don't think it's your cup of tea, don't let this one slip by without a try. You may end up not liking it, or you may end up finding yourself spending $20 on a Wednesday afternoon trying to beat MAX 300.

Overall, this game is one of my all-time favorites.
