I find that I can't really add anything to Ben's review as he covered all the bases on Brunswick 2. Like Ben, I believe that one of the biggest problems that befall Brunswick 2 is that it's based on a sport that is essentially boring. The gimmicks added to the game like multiple camera angles and over the top character designs are proof that the developer was aware of this as well. Still, that doesn't preclude a game to be boring just because the sport it's emulating is boring. The Hot Shots Golf series and Nintendo's Mario Golf have proven to be big successes while covering a sport that only recently has succeeded in drawing the attention of gamers. That would mean that Brunswick 2's problems lie elsewhere, and I conclude that its the presentation at fault. For one thing, the character models are just plain ugly, and the colors in this game seem to range from vomit green to puke purple. It only gets worse with the judicious use of live photos and low-resolution, full-motion video that only provide the game with a decidedly dated look. And I don't think we can stress enough how annoying the load times are in this game, even though the game is such a graphical lightweight. To be fair, I must mention that the game has solid controls and can be mildly enjoyable to play—eventually—but I still wouldn't recommend this game to anyone but the weekend bowler or professional. These are the only people who can get past the bad parts of the game and see anything good that Brunswick 2 has to offer.
