Scentless Apprentice says...
I've always been easily enamoured by marginally interesting characters, but this game left me with a lump in my throat. Not only did it harken back memories of sitting next to the VCR with copies of "Astro Boy" and "Kinmba the White Lion", it made me think. Yes, this overlooked title made me step back and look at the world. Even though the thout of replaying the same levels over and over didn't appeal to me at first, the story drew me in like a magnet to iron fillings. Osamu Tezuka is a master storyteller, and this game is a magnum opus of his creations. It drifts from themes of rascism and discrimnation to cloning and the right to die. This game touches on so many levels, that it will leave you dizzy, spellbound, and in love with this game. And compared to the big-budget games you see pushed out the door so often, this is a very good thing. Oh, and Black Jack makes a cameo. That alone could bump the score up a notch.
