Parents have nothing to worry here, as the game is perfectly child safe. Provided a family has more than one GBA, it can probably provide some fun family entertainment. Even those who aren't fans of the genre will appreciate the level of competition the game provides, having emphasis on combos and defeating an opponent rather than achieving the higher score. The ESRB Rating is accurate—this is a game everyone can play.

Puyo Pop is for puzzle fans and gamers on the go. Games are usually fast, although there is no save feature between opponents of each of the game's six levels.

GBA owners can take full advantage of the system's multiplayer capabilities, as it requires only one cartridge to play the basic game. However, having four cartridges allow you to set the rules and choose other characters.
