Gauntlet: Seven Sorrows – Review

With the click-click-click of my X and Square buttons as a soundtrack, I'm fighting off swarms of demon hordes while racking up experience points and nibbling on food whenever my health gets too low. (Many times I am disgustingly wasteful, littering the ground with dozens of cheeses I'll never need). Sometimes there's a switch to pull or a boss to fight, but mostly I just hold my own against monsters that keep coming at me like George Romero's zombies.

Unreal Championship 2: The Liandri Conflict – Second Opinion

While I appreciate the unorthodox concept of Brad's review, I feel as though it's lacking the detailed assessment Unreal Championship 2: The Liandri Conflict deserves. I suppose a casual player may be able to appreciate his circumstances, but a first-person shooter fan deserves more substance.

NARC – Review

I don't know if I've ever had lower expectations for a game than for NARC. In addition to a last-minute shift to budget title status, the title is a remake of a truly bad arcade game, famous only for being the industry's biggest sop to the government's "Just Say No" campaign. In what they hoped would be a canny marketing move, Midway hoped to cash in on the 'any publicity is good publicity' concept by making a game where the player can do drugs.

NARC

Game Description: NARC is an in-depth, third person action/shooter video game set against a stylized modern-day backdrop of the War on Drugs. A gritty crime drama, gamers assume the role of dual characters, Marcus Hill and Jack Forzenski, members of an elite NARC squad whose mission is to rid the world of a powerful international drug cartel. Players must track and eliminate these cartels. In NARC, players possess an arsenal of weapons as well as skills in hand-to-hand fighting. Throughout the game, players will test their own character and judgment in this classic battle of Good vs. Evil where every action has a consequence.

Area 51 – Review

At what point does hyperbole become falsehood? I know that most discerning consumers have long since decided to take everything that ad copy claims with a grain of salt, but isn't there a bare minimum standard of honesty that these things should be held to?

Area 51

Game Description: Area 51 is a great aracde shooter that's bringing its action and challenge home to you. You'll lead a special unit into the famous Area 51 and discover just what's really lurking in that mytserious, classified desert base. An infectious mutagen has given players alien-enhanced physical abilities but is slowly transforming them into an alien. They must find the cure before it's too late and their humanity is lost. Face off against a horde of horrific creatures and secure Area 51!
