Sub Rebellion – Second Opinion

I'm with Brad all the way. Sub Rebellion is one of those perfectly solid, perfectly enjoyable games that unfortunately no one bothered to play.

Sub Rebellion

Game Description: Staying one step ahead of the enemy is critical as the Chronos sub battles evil using guided nuclear, ultrasonic, and acoustic torpedoes for underwater overkill or surface-to-air missiles and short- and long-range weapons for above-the-sea mass destruction. A total of 10 different subs are featured in the game. As a unique offering, players can upgrade and modify their Chronos sub by finding bonus items along the way or by purchasing powerful new engines, shields, skins, and torpedoes. Among the many great new features in the game are a fantastic display of hyperrealistic water physics, lighting effects, and gorgeous 3D animation.

Sub Rebellion – Review

Fans who have been starved for either submarine games or shooters are in for a real treat. Neither genre has been especially plentiful in the last few years, so when a game comes along that combines the best of both worlds, its a rare opportunity that needs to be savored. Being most famous for diabolically difficult shooters such as the cult classic R-Type series, developer Irem now brings its own brand of finger-blistering action 20,000 leagues under the sea.
