World Soccer Winning Eleven 8 International – Review

Winning Eleven 8 is simply yet another step in the right direction, both for the advancement of quality sports games and for the slowly progressive principles to which Konami's series has held close—even throughout years of being outsold by the flashier, gimmicky FIFA games.

Neo Contra – Review

Neo Contra delivers a fun, violence-filled romp, but its virtues as a hardcore action game are tarnished by its hit-or-miss attempts at parody. Other developers have elevated the classic 2D shooter to a form of ballet, where memorizing bullet patterns and releasing your own perfect counter-attack is the grammar of an elegant dance.

McFarlane's Evil Prophecy

Game Description: Based on Todd McFarlane's series of Monsters action figures, sets players on an action packed adventure to hunt down famous creatures from literature., In this Monstrous game aptly named McFarlane's Evil Prophecy, the game play is from a third person perspective as you seek out evil beings like Dracula, Hunchback of Notre Dame etc to vanquish them. To save the world from certain disaster, you will be able to wield swords, cast magic spells, and use various other 19th century weapons to destroy the monsters.

McFarlane's Evil Prophecy – Review

There's a typo on the back of the McFarlane's Evil Prophecy box. That's how bad this game is. Not a minor one, either. Here's the quote: "Evil Prophecy sets players on an action packed adventure to hunt down the ? Great Monsters." Now, I can't be sure just what was supposed to be where that question mark is—my best guess is that whoever was writing up the back of the box didn't know just how many great monsters would be appearing in the game, and never go around to finding out and replacing the placeholder. How little effort was put into the game that an error that major slipped through?

Silent Hill 4: The Room – Review

By the time we arrive at Konami's latest installment, Silent Hill 4: The Room, the series doesn't even take place in Silent Hill anymore…players spend the game in the nearby town of Ashfield. Unfortunately, calling the game Ashfield 4: The Room probably wouldn't have inspired many sales as gamers the world over wondered what the hell ever happened to Ashfield 1-3…it's like that whole Bill Cosby/Leonard Part 6 mess, and I think everyone learned their lesson on that one.
