A one-trick pony that manages to stay entertaining far longer than I would have ever expected, Chili Con Carnage is a passable action title more notable for its absurdity and humor than for its gameplay.

Game Description: Chili Con Carnage is one of the most outrageous action games you'll ever play. It features super spicy action with over-the-top, gravity-defying special moves. With 19 missions across 7 exotic locations spanning sprawling cities to dense jungle, plus four game modes from challenging single player modes to fun multiplayer modes.

The successful balance between exciting innovation and comfortable familiarity is a delicate one. It's true that large doses of creativity can sometimes lead an otherwise solid project wildly awry, but on the other hand, there's little value in rehashing ideas and not going far enough. In the case of Just Cause, the developers have innovated with one shining addition, but otherwise let the scales weigh heavily with well-trodden material.

Unlike Dan, I didn’t think that’s turning a riot cop into a hero was that great a leap considering that the world in its current state has so many things for the average American to be afraid of—at least, according to the current administration.

In short, Reservoir Dogs isn’t the kind of movie you’d think would make a good videogame. And if Volatile Games’s effort to turn it into one is any indication, you’re absolutely right.
