Zone of the Enders

Game Description: The humans living on Antilia, a colony orbiting the planet Jupiter, think of themselves as Enders, as they're essentially at the end, or furthest reach, of human civilization. After a sudden attack by a fanatical Martian military regime known as the Z.O.E., Ender Leo Stenbuck finds himself with access to the one weapon that can save Antilia: a mechanized attack vehicle called an orbital frame. In Zone of the Enders, you'll command the orbital frame against several robotic opponents. The game features agile 3-D movement, both in the air and on land, and smart camera work that keeps your opponent in view during the most intense, furious battles. The game also comes with a playable demo of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty.

Extermination – Second Opinion

Extermination was slated for release soon after the PlayStation 2 launch in the US. Sony promised that as the first survival-horror game available for the console, it would offer players a unique spin on a genre mired in complacency. What piqued my interest was the discovery that the Deepspace development team was made up of some of the original developers of the Resident Evil series. Unfortunately, as was the case with many of Sony's launch titles, Extermination missed its release date by well over a year.

Extermination – Review

Survival Horror is a tired and worn out genre with far too many games and not enough innovation. Theres a perceptible lack of creativity thats setting into it like gangrene. In the bigger scheme of things, its a relatively young genre that seems to have aged quite poorly before its time.

Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil – Second Opinion

rad and I are in almost total agreement when it comes to Namco's sequel. Like Brad, I too was impressed with what Namco was able to achieve graphically with Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil. Though limited to a 2.5D perspective, Namco managed to create one of the more beautiful videogames released in a while and it is certainly one of the best-looking PlayStation 2 games on the market.

Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil

Game Description: Klonoa is the long-eared hero of the world Lunatea, an enchanted realm divided into separate kingdoms. When a forgotten fourth kingdom of darkness threatens to upset the balance of power in Lunatea, Klonoa and his friends go on a magical journey to set things right again. This family-friendly action game uses a new illustration technique to create dynamic camera angles in a seemingly 2D world.

Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil – Review

I'm very glad that Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil was released. Heck, forget released how about the fact that it was even developed? Its a good game, but my reasons for being so glad to see it run deeper than that. Its all about platforms, really.
