If you're tired of shooting zombies in the head and dismembering them with various gardening implements, then perhaps Exor Studios' newest PC title will re-ignite your love of annihilating the undead. The indie Polish developer is hard at work on their first commercial PC release, a game called Zombie Driver. While the title is slightly misleading (the zombies aren't driving), it does promise a great deal of vehicular undead-slaughter. I think that's something we can all get behind.

The impending October 6 launch date of Demon’s Souls is nearly upon us, but the good people at Atlus sent along a message that they wanted me to share—As a heads-up to everyone who intends to purchase the game, if you somehow manage to secure a copy before the official release, be aware that the US servers WILL NOT BE ACTIVE until October 6.

It seems fairly common for certain brick-and-mortar stores to get a jump on their competitors by breaking street dates, but in the case of Demon’s Souls, there's really no purpose to getting a copy before everyone else. In addition to having other real-life players join your game (as blue or black phantoms) the servers are required to take advantage of the "blood stain" replays that show you where other real players have died, as well as the message system which allows players to etch helpful hints and bits of information for others in the same level.

A Rubik's Cube for the digital age 

HIGH: The graphics and sound are beautiful, and flow like a clear, computerized river.

LOW: Flipping the cubes is a delicate operation, and often frustrating.

WTF: It's a puzzle game. The whole concept is one big WTF, really.

HIGH It's Sudoku.

LOW It's just Sudoku.

WTF Why put "Detective" in the title when it's barely in the game?

He's not angry, just misunderstood

HIGH Hanging motionless for a split second a hundred feet in the air above a boss before crashing down on it bionic fist first.

LOW Fumbling ineptly with certain biomech enemies for a large amount of time before discovering their weakness.

WTF When replaying certain sections, the in-game chatter is sometimes replaced with more profane versions of the same sentence.

HIGH Absorbing a big lifeform just slightly smaller than me.

LOW Miscalculating my orbit in the sun levels and dying when I was close to finishing a level.

WTF Shouldn't my lifeform become intelligent at some point after consuming so many others?
