The Punisher – Second Opinion

I'm not sure why Dan put on the kid gloves when it came to his final words on The Punisher, but calling it an extremely well-designed action game is an overstatement. Action game, yes. Well-designed? No.

Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30 – Review

Brothers in Arms is one of the best World War II first-person shooters (FPS) that I've ever played. This is not to say that the game is without flaws—because it has a few that are fairly significant—but the game is so intriguing that it overcomes the majority of its shortcomings without annoying the player in the process.

Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30

Game Description: Brothers in Arms is the only first-person tactical shooter set in WWII. It takes you into the uncensored reality of military history. You become Sgt. Matt Baker, a squad leader committed to completing his mission and bringing his men home alive. Guide his squad of 101st Airborne Paratroopers as you're immersed in the historic 8-day Normandy invasion; As you play, you'll face difficult choices where you'll weigh the good of the mission against the lives your fellow soldiers—your Brothers In Arms.

Myst III: Exile – Review

Myst III: Exile is a fine example of conceptual stagnation, an often mind-numbing exercise in tedium that despite grand intentions, feels more like a relic than a new and interesting concept.

Syberia II – Review

The tone and poise of its plain and sincere story are far enough removed from typical videogame fare to warrant valuing it among the few point 'n click adventures that have made it onto the current generation of consoles.

Syberia II – Consumer Guide

Torrente – Review

There are bad games, and then there are terrible games. There are games so plodding and uninspired that the only thing more uninteresting than reading about them is actually playing them. While Torrente might seem like every other generic 3rd-person shooter out there, it's actually one of those games, a game whose mundanity defies description.
