Parents should exercise some guidance before allowing children to play this. There are frequent instances of violence, gore, and peril, which while nothing worse than a mild horror film to hardened teens could upset some younglings.

Plant lovers might be particularly traumatised by the way that foliage is portrayed as having an evil intent.

In general, fans of earlier Resident Evil and Silent Hill games, alongside horror aficionados, should lap up this mixture of exploration, puzzles, action, and frights. The two player mode in particular is novel in the genre and the game is slickly produced for something that has largely gone under the radar. It's a real sleeper hit (or should that be sleepless?).

Deaf and Hard of Hearing gamers will be pleased to find the option of in-game subtitles, though a lot of the atmosphere and threat warnings comes from the soundtrack. Audible clues, like phones ringing, are not subtitled.
