True Crime: New York City – Consumer Guide

According to ESRB, this game contains: Blood and Gore, Intense Violence, Strong Language, Strong Sexual Content, Use of Drugs

Parents, don't even consider buying this for your children. In addition to being massively inappropriate for youth, it's just not very good.

New Yorkers may find something to enjoy here, as the full-scale model of New York City gives them the unique opportunity to drive from one end of the island to the other in under five minutes, on streets nearly devoid of traffic. Also, players can run over those irritating hot dog carts. Not that I'm suggesting they do so.

Deaf and Hard of Hearing gamers have a mixed bag—story dialogue is subtitled, but incidental dialogue is not. This is a problem because while information about where to go and what to do to fight crime appears onscreen, the key minor details, for example, that a location is full of explosive gas and firing a gun isn't safe, are not.
