Vampire Night – Consumer Guide

Chi Kong Lui's picture

According to ESRB, this game contains: Blood, Violence

Parents might want to think twice before purchasing Vampire Night for the little ones. While visuals in the game aren't exactly R-rated scary, it is fairly realistic looking and this is a very violent game with a high body count and blood splatter and body parts flying all over the screen. Some easily scared children might find some of the more creepy monsters in the game a little disturbing as well.

Fans of light gun games should enjoy Vampire Night. There's no real innovation here, but it's a solid entry into the genre and the extra features should make the experience more worthwhile than most typical light gun games.

All gamers should be aware that the Guncon 2 light gun accessory needs to be plugged into RCA jacks on the television for it to function. For those with high-definition TV screens and complicated digital component cable hook-ups, the Guncon 2 accessory may not function or it could prove to be a rather large inconvenience to setup. The original PlayStation Guncon is also compatible with Vampire Night. The game is also playable with the standard Dual Shock controller, but unless you think using a PC mouse is a thrilling experience, don't bother with this option and stick to the Guncon.
