Title(s)
Critic – PC Games
Brief Bio

Since he was a kid playing games on Atari consoles and TI computers, video games have always been a big part of Mike's life. But it wasn't until he opened his shiny new NES in Christmas of '86 that Mike truly became a gamer. The bug bit him, and being a bit of a loner in grade school made video games a big part of his life growing up.

His interest in gaming was sustained well throughout high school and college, the latter of which included many late nights playing XBox games with friends in the dorms. Mike studied exercise science and psychology, as well as spending an substantial amount of time honing his skills as a guitarist. Today, Mike has become almost exclusively a PC gamer, and contributes all manner of related content from game reviews to hardware news to advice on purchasing and optimizing performance.

Mike's involvement with GameCritics.com began when he posted some comments on the neophyte GameCritics.com forums back in 2000; Chi liked what he had to say, and invited him on board as a guest critic. After contributing guest reviews for some time, Chi invited Mike to become a full-fledged member of the staff. Mike sees GameCritics.com as an important website that brings intelligent discussion of games to the public forum in an approachable, easy to understand manner without being overwhelmed by academics.

Mike currently resides in Tulsa, OK, making his living as a certified personal trainer. He has worked under the guidance of nationally renowned trainers including Bob Esquerre, Anette Lang and Mark Slavin, and specializes in functional training, bodybuilding programs, and corrective exercise. In his free time, he relaxes with his girlfriend Lisa, plays heavy metal guitar, reads philosophy and, of course, plays video games!
