"About ancient history... it's called Jeanne D'Arc, and it's all about this big war that happened, but it's weird because the two sides are the French and the English and at first I couldn't figure out was going on because there weren't any Nazis or zombies or anything." " Jeanne D'Arc... is that the same as Joan of Arc? That one chick that dressed up like a guy to play football or something?"

Developers have spent years on failed attempts at modernizing and speeding up this process, mixing the pace of modern RTS games with the borderline OCD-level micromanagement that the hardcore strategy gamer craves. Until Brigade E5, all of those attempts have been failures.

Yggdra Union from superb developer Sting could be described as the lovechild of the Saturn's seminal and the super-popular series, but to leave it at that would be doing both game and developers a disservice. Not only has Sting captured the essence of what makes those two games great, they've added their own unique spin to create something freshly original while being familiar enough for fans of the genre to jump right in.
