Featuring Richard Naik, Chi Kong Lui, Brad Gallaway, Sinan Kubba, and Matt "Mast" Hunter.

Titanfall Beta Preview

Titan fell

My first and only experience with multiplayer-only online shooters was a few years back when I reviewed Battlefield 2142, a game that features the exact same premise and publisher as Titanfall. Judging it against its most similar competition, Titanfall is a far better game than B:2142, but leaving it there would be to damn the game with faint praise.

GameCritics.com Podcast Episode 106: Play to the End

How many games actually need to be played to completion in order to be truly experienced? That is the question we attempt to tackle in this episode, along with a healthy dose of watcha been playing. Featuring Richard Naik, Brad Gallaway, Ashley King, and first-timer Rowan Kaiser. That rhymes! Also, as you may have heard Rowan is writing a book about Mass Effect. Go give it a looksee.

Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft Preview

Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft

By and large, I am not a card game player.

All of my experience with card games comes from a brief attempt at Magic: The Gathering in high school and a lot of bored Saturday mornings with Yu-Gi-Oh! when I was too lazy to change the channel.

Random attempts to enter the genre have usually defeated me with dense rules, obtuse jargon, constant mechanic changes, and the prospect of buying hundreds of dollars worth of cards. None of these things attracted me as a potential new player.
