Mass Effect 3: Extended Cuts and Harada speaks!

Mass Effect 3 Screenshot

So, the Mass Effect 3 "extended cut" DLC amending the old endings came out. It's a free add-on and I'm pretty sure it provides an auto-save right near the end of the game for those who may not have a file at the appropriate point—I was positive that I didn't, but when I booted the game up, there it was. It could be my imagination, but I'm guessing the developers included this save as part of the DLC to avoid further outcry.

Bloodforge Review

Family (n) - The Spouse and Children of One Person

HIGH Crom's hilariously hammy Big No in the opening minutes of the game.

LOW The entire rest of the game.

WTF One boss is a physical manifestation of a female STD.

Street Fighter x Tekken, Lollipop Chainsaw, Mommy's Best and Snow White

Lollipop Chainsaw Screenshot

I completed Lollipop Chainsaw the other night and my review is nearly complete. This was a fairly easy writeup for me since I didn't find much to praise... I'm certainly aware that Suda51 has his fans out there, but he's one of the most overrated creators in the games industry these days if you ask me, and this title just reinforces my opinion.

Deadliest Warrior: Ancient Combat Review

A Digital Exercise in Theoretical Fightonomics

HIGH Chucking a spear through an opponent's head for an instant kill.

LOW Loading... Loading... Still Loading... Now Loading... Always Loading...

WTF Spending five minutes thinking the disc was defective until I used Google.

Richard presents: Let's play Streets of Rage Remake (SOR2 Route) Stage 2

Bridges! Motorcycles! Bare chested men kicking things! All of this and more can be found in stage 2. We get two new enemy types in this level, plus a dude wearing a jetpack. Enjoy!

Richard presents: Let's play Streets of Rage Remake (SOR2 Route) Stage 1

It's the Streets of Rage Remake! A wonderful fan-made tribute to the classic brawlers on the Sega Genesis, the remake is a project that deserves some attention, which I am hoping to give to it. I'm playing through the Streets of Rage 2 route, and naturally starting off with Stage 1. Enjoy!

Ninja Gaiden 3 Review

Taking a Stab at a New Audience

HIGH Swooping down onto an enemy battleship before destroying the entire fleet.

LOW The versus multiplayer is intolerably bad.

WTF "Hello Canna, I'm Ryu. It means 'Dragon.' Now, shake this scabby corrupted hand of mine. I said shake it!"

Video: Fans make Streets of Rage movie

I have to preface this by saying I wasn't much of a fan of Streets of Rage—I stayed away from the Sega Genesis and was more into Final Fight and Double Dragon. However, I do understand that there are people out there that absolutely love Sega's contribution to the console beat-'em up genre.

Observations from PAX East 2012: What's old is new again

XCOM: Enemy Unknown Screenshot

Amidst the sea of near indistinguishable first- and third-person shooters, MMOs and MMO shooters at PAX East, I found it somewhat ironic that two particular titles that stood out to me where both remakes of classic games: XCOM: Enemy Unknown and Double Dragon Neon.

Street Fighter X Tekken Review

The "X" is Pronounced "Cross." I Really don't Know Why.

Street Fighter X Tekken Screenshot

HIGH Seeing favorite Tekken characters do their trademark moves in a Capcom fighter.

LOW More beefed-out final boss characters with cheap AI? Really?

WTF Law's face didn't translate well to Capcom's art style. Just, yikes.
