Rebelstar Tactical Command – Review

In the early days of the first PlayStation, a quirky PC strategy game was ported onto the console and immediately secured a place on my all-time favorites list. That game was called X-Com: UFO Defense, and to this day I have fond memories of hours spent positioning operatives and planning strategies down to the smallest detail in order to eradicate invading bug-eyed aliens from Mother Earth. Rebelstar Tactical Command may not be a directly related, but the family resemblance is impossible to ignore.

Sigma Star Saga – Review

You know, I'm really starting to hate the Game Boy Advance. Every time I get it packed up and put away, I hear about some new game sneaking in under the radar that I have to play. Every time I think that its library has officially run dry, there seems to be just one more thing for me to check out.

Sigma Star Saga

Game Description:  In Sigma Star Saga, humanity is struggling to survive against an onslaught by ruthless aliens. Under constant attack, Allied Earth Federation intercepts a Krill communication that singles out six planets in the galaxy that the invaders have taken particular interest in. Sent in as a double agent, players must discover the mystery of the six planets and help defeat the Krill before time runs out for humanity.

Riviera: The Promised Land

Game Description: The fate of Riviera: The Promised Land is in the hands of two resurrected angels, who must strengthen powerful seals before a horde of demons are unleashed upon the world., This RPG concerns a world torn apart by the strife of gods and demons, when two warriors quest to determine the fate of the paradise land, Riviera.

Riviera: The Promised Land – Review

In my opinion good RPGs are hard to find. There are a lot of them, but barely any are worth the time and effort needed to see them through to the end. Portable RPG's are even scarcer, and with the competition between Nintendo's DS and the Sony PSP, I was more than a little surprised to find a quality RPG on the GameBoy Advance new release rack. Not surprisingly, it comes to us courtesy of Atlus. One of my favorite publishers, Atlus certainly knows their niche market.

Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones – Consumer Guide

According to the ESRB, this game contains: Fantasy Violence

Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones

Game Description: In Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones, you'll battle to defend an empire against internal dangers and external threats. On another world, humanity struck a bargain with demons and ensured generations of peace. Now, suddenly and for no reason, the Grado Empire has invaded neighboring Renais. Twin heirs to the throne of Renais, Eirika and Ephraim, fight to free their kingdom and uncover the secret behind their former ally's treachery.
