Arx Fatalis - feedback, anyone?

Saw it at Gamestop for cheep... i seem to recall someone on the boards here had mentioned it before. (Bracken, was that you?)

Anyone have any comments on it? Worth $12 or wha?

(and yes, i am a King's Field fan...) ; )

I was thinking about picking that up as well since if you can find it, it's really cheap and supposedly a pretty decent game. I recall the Bearded One saying it was not bad.

Yep, not a bad game at all. It was showing its age graphically, but since you like KF (which I also like), I think you'll dig Arx.

yeah, it's been a while since i've seen a copy so i went ahead and snagged it. i meant to give it my "five minute test" to see if it was so bad that i could kick it out of my stack after five minutes... and i ended up playing it for two hours straight. it's a thumbs up so far.. much better than i expected. BTW Bracken, did you finish it? if so, how long, and any trouble spots?

I did finish it, and I don't recall having any trouble with it in particular. It's been so long ago, though, that I have no clue how long it took to actually get to the end. I don't recall it being overly long, though.
