Super Mario Bros. for Free!?

Not sure why, but Nintendo of America sent me an email yesterday with a free download code for the original Super Mario Bros. Anyone else get this offer?

While it's nice of Nintendo to do something like this, I would much prefer a different game. I already have the original Super Mario Bros. with a working NES, so if I really wanted to play the classic I could. Why not just give me 500 points to spend however I want? Or pick a good WiiWare game and let me download that for free. Good start Nintendo, but not quite enough.

Re: Super Mario Bros. for Free!?

It rather makes sense, if they're going to give a game for free, it might as well (from a business perspective), be one everyone already has played, so it's a nostalgic kick, without potentially losing a sale on a different game.
