KSC launches announced from Disneyworld?
If you live almost anywhere in central Florida, you can see the rocket launches from Kennedy Space Center. When I lived in Orlando I could see them from my driveway. It would take the rumble a minute or two to get there. I started thinking: Although Disney World tries to immerse the visitors by blocking out the outside world, rocket launches are one thing they can't hide. But is that a bad thing? Much of Disney World has a high-tech theme; Tomorrowland and Epcot. Plus there is an underlying patriotic vibe to the whole Disney enterprise. So I thought, wouldn't it be neat if Disney World announced KSC's rocket launches over a PA system, told the visitors which direction to look, and described in a sentence or two what the launch was for? It would be easy for the park to implement. Have they?
