New Review Posted: Mafia

Mike Bracken spends some time with Mafia and is inspired to write:

"Since the days of Al Capone and Elliot Ness, America has had a fascination with the mafia. La Cosa Nostra has reached the point of iconic status in this country, not far removed from the cowboy-don't believe me? Check out popular entertainment…there're a lot more films and TV shows out there about gangsters these days than there are cowboys."

Re: New Review Posted: Mafia

As a big fan of Mafia on the PC, I was very glad to see Mike make a very concerted effort of alerting readers to the fact that it is only the console ports that suck, not the game itself.

Mafia on the PC is one of the platforms all-time best games. Unfortunately, too many of you won't get to experience it in all of its glory.

Yeah, I really wanted to make that point clear. I'm not a PC gamer, but I did spend some time screwing around with Mafia on the PC at a friend's house...the differences between that version and the Xbox port is pretty amazing. Great game, terrible port.
