New Review Posted: Wild Arms 4
Then, Hias Wrba reviews Wild Arms 4 (oddly, 5), and makes a factual error in the first paragraph - can you guess what it was?
"Buffy Summers did it somewhere around season six or seven. Andy Clark, Brian Johnson, John Bender, Claire Standish and Allison Reynolds did while being detained in the Breakfast Club. Igby did it during summer vacation. Heck, even I did it, although I'm not quite sure of that some of the time. Coming of age seems to be an easy thing to do. Nevertheless it remains one of the main themes played upon in today's popular culture. So why not transfer it to a media which by itself is always a little in danger of being regarded as childish? The fourth installment in developer Media Vision's Wild Arms series tries exactly that."
There's more review here.

Ho-kay... now I find it completely odd that Wrba would review Wild Arms 4. He always strike me as the FPS lovin' guy as opposed to being a JRPG-addict-otaku . Why he thought of playing WA4 (and reviewing it) baffles me.
Guten tag.

Re: New Review Posted: Wild Arms 4
Well Guten Tag to you too!
i'm full of surprises ain't I? ;-)
But seriously, although I have a little ultra-violence weakspot i'd consider myself pretty open minded when it comes to genres i play. I always had my share of otaku-madness. And I'd love to play and review more JPRGs if they were not so terribly time consuming. Heck, I even surprise myself time and again. Altough Sports is probably my least favourite genre, right now with the world cup craze and all i'm seriously starting to dig deeper and deeper into Pro Evolution soccer 5/Winning eleven 9.
But rest assured what I'm working on right now will be fitting my profile much better.
cheers,
Hias

Well, it's always good to try something different because, you know, it's the spice of life
Although I still haven't tried any soccer games. Any recommendations? avp? Thom? Anyone?
Shouldn't that be "Grüße"?
EDIT: Regarding JRPG, I feel the same way.

Re: New Review Posted: Wild Arms 4
Oh, and while I'm here:
There are two errors. One is that coming of age is not an easy thing to do, even under the best of circumstances. Two is the singular form of "media" is "medium."
I'm such an ass...

Now you all know my pain, given that I mostly like to play and review JRPGs.

Re: New Review Posted: Wild Arms 4
I think Wild Arms 3 attempted the whole "coming of age" thing as well, though it was a bit more reasonable than what Hias described in WA4.
I'm a bit disappointed to see them abandon the wild west theme, but I guess they pretty much nailed it in 3 as well.
Also Wild Arms 3 is the bomb, ok?
