New Review Posted: Stella Deus

Mike Bracken reviews Stella Deus and wishes that it was just a little on the better side:

"Despite what the old cliché says, sometimes the whole isn't greater than the sum of its parts. Which is perhaps the best way to accurately describe Atlus' latest strategy Role-Playing Game (SRPG) Stella Deus: The Gate of Eternity. This is not to say that Stella Deus is a bad game, because it's not; it's just that when one examines the lineage of all the parties involved, the end product doesn't quite live up to the pedigree of the creators."

The rest of the review is available for perusal here.

Sounds like this is the Stella you should spent time with instead. I know, this one has never disappointed. And, oddly enough, never gets repetitive.

Haha! 50 hours with those might have killed even me, though.

Oh man.

I am so bummed.

Not only am I a recalcitrant Atlus fangrrl, but I was /certain/ with all that pedigree, this was going to be a fine game. Thanks Mike, for bursting my cherry.

Just see who I invite to my next Swensen's birthday gala! *harumph*

(And I really love srpgs like you do, too, and stuff. But at least you gave it to us straight up. Err.. gayly forward up.. or something.. *snuffle*)

Like bummer to the max, dude.

Re: New Review Posted: Stella Deus

Yeah, I expected a lot from the game and what I wound up with was a pretty standard SRPG with some balance issues.

Not a terrible game by any stretch of the imagination, but a definite letdown.
