Absolutely gorgeous. If I found a suitable career that involved working around these beauties every day, I'd die a happy man. I want to hug an A-10 right now.

John McCain recently broke the news that the F-22 may be scrapped as a result of the Iraq War. It breaks my heart. Here's hoping we'll be seeing many cool air show shots of the JSF right quick.

Cool pictures!

Seeing them made me remember about how much airplanes, and especially military craft used to fascinate me when I was younger. Something about them just seemed like the coolest thing in the world! I recalled reading about the A-10 and thinking how absolutely badass it was, so ugly, and yet so crazy lethal... I vaguely remember reading that it could lose one of its engines and still fly, and that the bullets coming out of its main cannon were the size of milk bottles! And it was called the Tank Killer! How cool is that?!

Of course, passing through Wal-Mart yesterday, I saw an automatic change sorter and counter, that I used to totally covet as a kid that I haven't thought about in years either...
