Deus Ex, Godhand on PS3

To cut a long story short (involving, to my shame, not being able to wait for the European release of Madden), I have 50 bucks to spend in the US PS3 Store.

Rummaging around in there, I see Deus Ex for PS3, and God Hand. Just wondering if anyone had any opinions on how these will play on PS3 and whether I should get them (have dabbled with DE on PC, played 1st level, never played God Hand).

Or is there something else in there I should spend my 50 bucks on?

Do you mean the recent Deus Ex, or the original which was ported overto the PS2?

Godhand is a great game. Like a bizarre mix of old scrolling beat 'em ups (Streets of Rage, etc, except much deeper), but with the perspective of a more modern third person shooter. And a bizarre, over-the-top sense of humour, not to mention rock hard. Unfortunately I bought it right before my last PS2 broke, but it would definitely make it into my top ten PS2 games list. Don't know how well it's aged, however. I think you'd enjoy it.

If it's the original Deus Ex, rather play it on PC where you also get high-res-texture mods. As good as the game may be, in terms of graphics it has aged very, very poorly.

Yes, it is the original Deus Ex. What Li-Ion says makes a lot of sense.

The original Deus Ex is definitely still worth a play, but I'd do as Li-Ion suggests and play it on PC due to the mods (never actually bothered with mods for it myself, however). It takes a while to get good, though- I'd suggest playing at least a few hours before making your mind up on it, as the first couple of missions are tedious.

Let us know what you make of Godhand, it's definitely a refreshing change from the norm!

Will do, it may be a while before I get it. I seem to suddenly have a tonne of unfinished games on the go. For some reason I have turned into someone who wants to finish every game he starts, unless it is terrible.
