Sorry I didn't make an unboxing video. However, I am in the process of editing a 48 page essay on the unboxing experience. Stay tuned.
Three reasons I bought a Wii U:
1. Curiosity
2. I buy all of Nintendo's main systems
3. Pikmin 3.
It will take me awhile to give a full impression. I don't have a lot of time for gaming and it isn't fair to judge a system so early in its lifecycle.
My over impressions so far are favorable. Although I feel like this is the system Nintendo should have come out with 6 years ago.
One thing that bugs me is how Nintendo forces you to use the tablet all of the time. Even if you use a Wii-mote to play Super Mario or a Pro Controller for Ninja Gaiden, the tablet stays on. Going shopping or changing system settings you have to use the tablet.
The social aspect of the Wii U, Miiverse, is cool. You can leave in-game comments, kind of like Demon's Souls, and visit forums on without leaving the console.
