That's what I thought. Try playing the game if you would like, or, if it's not your cup of tea then don't. Either way, it's unbecoming to talk bad about someone you haven't had a chance to meet.

I've met his close cousin Oblivion and that taught me to wait for the inevitable GOTY-Edition. However, I am intrigued by Skyrim so why should I now be banned to talk about a game that clearly interests me?

Re: Skyrim

Even with all of its faults, I still think Skyrim is a great game.

I installed Oblivion on my PC, played a couple of hours and have never played it again. I did the same with Marrowind.

Bethesda pretty much took everything that was great about the previos Elder Scrolls games and combined that with what they'd learned after making Fallout 3 and New Vegas, to make a really fun game. Yeah, the melee combat is broken, but it was in Fallout as well, but the ranged fighting and exploration is what is great about Skyrim.

Re: Skyrim

Pre-ordered it, played it, hated it. Hated every single glitchy, buggy, overblown, insubstantial moment in it. So far as I'm concerned this series is the "Modern Warfare" of RPGs.

I could forgive a lot of things, but a main campaign that can be finished in 4 hours is something that entirely negates however much content in side-quests there may be in the game.

I don't know how many people -if any- have left the company in the last few years, but this is not Daggerfall's Bethesda and it sure as hell doesn't feel like Morrowind's Bethesda either.

Re: Skyrim

I added my thoughts on the game to Brackenbeard's review, so I won't repeat them here. But for the interested, I've been keeping a diary on the game and updating it with lots of pics.

I haven't updated in a bit (my last post was 11 levels ago), but I've got tons of stuff from the past week that I'll be adding in the next day or two, including how it looks with some sweet hi-res texture mods.

I never said you can't talk about it. Of course you can talk about it. I'm merely pointing out that your position, to me, doesn't mean a whole lot since you haven't played the game.

I know you dig on Dark Souls. I'm sure it's what it's all about for you. I played Demon Souls, and I found it to be boring and tedious. That's cool. I'm not going to walk in here and say Dark Souls is more of the same, when I don't know that for a fact since I haven't played it.

I don't know what Dark Souls respectively Demon's Souls have to do with this? I also adore Frozen Synapse and Vanquish, they have as much to do with this topic as Dark Souls has: nothing

I merely linked articles and videos I found interesting and/or funny, what's wrong with that? When you find interesting/funny/disturbing articles/videos/whatever about Dark Souls/Vanquish/Frozen Synapse/Chess/Dynasty Warriors please feel free to post them in the respective threads. I won't judge what you post by you having played the game or not

Re: Skyrim

What's the best in PC gaming?

Graphics cards for 1000$ and forgetting to install openGL drivers?

No! Of course not! I talk about:

Mods!
