Really? Thanks for the heads-up; I do have an original GBA stored away somewhere, so if that looks better, then brilliant.

It looks better, but that's relative because there's no backlighting. So if that's not a requirement, you could say its better. If you need backlighting, I think the microGBA (if you can find it) or DS Lite is probably the best way to go.
