I was confused by this comment as well. Tetris and Saints Row are two completely different genres of game. Ico and Forza Motorsport. Pac-man and Silent Hill... (ok, maybe not so much with that last one )

COD and Battlefield are exactly the same genre. From what I can gather, Battlefield is far more focused on teamwork than COD is, but as Li_Ion says... still men with guns shooting each other.

I'm not saying two games in the same genre can't be completely different, but this is another point entirely.

Perhaps it would have been simpler to say they are different sub-genres, and therefore you can't compare them.

What I mean by this is that COD is an arcade shooter, whereas BF is a tactical shooter. This makes them very different, you can't really compare between the two. They play completely differently, attract a different style of gameplay and a very different audience.

Re: Suggest a PC videogame.

Have you ever played some of the old Rainbow 6 games from around 1998-2000? That were proper tactical shooters. ArmA, SOCOM, MAG and SWAT also fall into that category, also some games of the Ghost Recon series. But Battlefield? Not so much. The emphasis in BF is more on teamwork than in CoD, but calling it a tactical shooter would be a stretch.

What Li-Ion said. Operation Flashpoint is still the definitive tactical shooter, to me.

Re: Suggest a PC videogame.

I agree that Operation Flashpoint and Rainbow Six 3 are the fathers of the tactical shooters. However I still feel that BF2 should be classed as a tactical shooter, but with player v player rather than player v bot.

If you like racing games, I have Need for Speed Underground 2 and I play it on my laptop that has windows vista and it runs really great and it has a really good picture. It is lots of fun and you won't be bored with that.
