Use the escape card until you manage to get an escape book from a treasure chest and use the book to teach the escape spell to 1 of your priests.
You can buy escape card from the armoury, but it's kind of rare for escape book because I only got 1 of them and haven't found another 1 until now. Currently I'm on caves mission...
