Re: Suggest an album.

One of my friends just finished up on their second music video. I guess I should push it. They are kind of a cross genre band. They fit Atlanta well.

Deerhunter is another Atlanta band that has been doing pretty well in the indie scene.

Re: Suggest an album.

Joanna Newsom's new album Have One On Me is officially out today. My copy arrived in the mail a few days ago, and I've been listening to live recordings of some of these new songs for years now. There is a lot of great stuff here.

A concert recording of Esme, which is one of my favorite songs. It's nice to finally have a studio version.

A new song from the cd: Good Intentions Paving Company.

Re: Suggest an album.

There are some good new releases coming out. I really want the new Massive Attack album.

RandomRob, I watched Me and You and Everyone we Know the other day. Great movie.
My wife even stuck around and watched it. To illustrate why that is weird: she was watching Hitch before I put the movie in. That is the type of movie she normally likes...

Re: Suggest an album.

hahaha excellent. glad you liked it. I think Miranda July is pretty cool!

the meeting on the park bench was the ultimate show stopper. Mostly insanely ironic funny anti-climax ever.

I don't like Will Smith comedies but Seven Pounds absolutely floored me. Brutal redemption story, deftly put together.

Re: Suggest an album.

Airlock's soundtrack to the Room (2007).. indie horror film by Andres Meza-Valdez. The first track 'Love Scene' is haunting.

carrying on with the Heavy Rain vibe....

Re: Suggest an album.

Kaki King's "Until We Felt Red" and "Dreaming of Revenge" are pretty amazing albums. She has a new one coming in April. I'll post my thoughts when I get to hear it.

Here is one of her older songs when it was just her. I like the newer music better, but this is interesting to watch.

EDIT: I watched Into the Wild last night and noticed that Kaki King wrote some of the music on the soundtrack.

Re: Suggest an album.

@Sabotage

I think that is the first video cover I have ever seen. If your are going to cover the song why not the video as well.

Here are a couple of songs licensed to video games that I recently heard.

The closing song from Mass Effect: Faunts "M4 part 2"

From inFAMOUS: Working For a Nuclear Free City "Silent Melody"
