another album I really liked on the whole (and there aren't many of those) this past year was Zatracenie by Matryoshka. You can listen to and download it for free on Lastfm.

That Nobukazu Takemura track is a corker. Thanks for the great videos. I've only seen the Plaid one. So that tune is from Royksopp. It sounds a lot like The Knife. They share a singer?

I had to Google "corker". I always like learning new slang.

I saw Takemura twice. Once opening for Autechre and a second time opening for Plaid.

Yes, that was the singer from The Knife. Royksopp uses guest singers. Their songs very in mood depending on the singer.

You saw Autechre live?! Oh, the envy! How was it? I've seen Squarepusher and Aphex twice but have always missed Autechre gigs. I only know Scope from Takemura. It's all experimental minimalism, not the funky IDM of that video. I'll never forget the first time I heard it, though. Romantic motives.

I am jealous that you got to see Aphex Twin.

I had a chance to see Squarepusher and missed it. The only album I really got into from him was Music is Rotted One Note.

To be honest, when Autechre was performing I thought it was still the music in between sets. I had no idea that they were on stage. Weird, huh?

I saw them in a rather large venue and I was socializing a lot. There wasn't a light show or anything.

Takemura has cool animations throughout the performance.
