you have to go to another part of the ship and talk to george and do something for him to progress. after you help him then youll be able to get to the books. when you putting the books up the card will fall out.

It's in the restaurant that the husband is in. The bamboo is on the wall with the foliage. Click on it and she'll make a comment about it. Then cut it with the scissors.
