I love controversy and few things offend me, so it's fine by me. I would rather a developer go for something and fail or be misunderstood than to never try something new. Otherwise innovation stagnates.

This era more than any other highlights the video games industry's growing pains into a big boy entertainment medium. Developers are going to stumble and step on a few toes along the way.
