You can get the gemstone from the guy over in west dust hills. you can get it by: 1. On the way out of the town over in west dust hills in the miidle of the walkway you will see a dog. 2: talk to the dog and it will have a note under its collar. 3: it will tell you there is a guy traped between 2 trees. 4: keep going and when you go down the hill to go to the alpha area [I forget what its called] insted of turning right go straight and the guy will be there.
