Not really in this case you you layer the PS3 and run vid/audio through a pass though. The PS3 layer works like a PS3 but has the OSD(dashbaord/whatever) above it controls are piped though a simple converter device that allows for instant use of USB devices to the PS3 layer.
Basically the PS4 runs the PS3 like a person would since the hardware of the PS3 is whole. ho I bet it would be easy enough to convert just the video/audio output to the newer PS4 audio/video hardware. But when all else fails pass it threw. LOL
