If I never have to watch another movie about a gifted schizophrenic homeless person it'll be too soon.
Ok, harsh, I know It's just I feel like these films actually manage to
trivialize/dehumanize the victims by making them fetish objects of hope(ala Jesus/E.T./Wall-E), deliver an entertainment-like experience that fails socially because they examine nothing of the issues involved and perhaps worst-
deliver pat messages of hope and despair that cancel one another out and so the whole message is one of mindless filler, and therefore forgettable- which I'd think would NOT be what the producers were aiming for.
