yah
Hancock did have plot timing issues which was sad because I felt other aspects were so confident. The script it was based on,
'Tonight he comes', has been floating around Hollywood for awhile. It's one of those completely unapproachable-yet-someone-always-tries projects. (
google it, theres a PDF of the whole script online you can read - its interesting!)
I thought it was ok.
Recently got the Oliver Stone
'Nixon' on bluray. Not a huge improvement in looks (the film uses alot of soft contrast), but it does include some worthwhile added sequences.. the bizarre meeting between Nixon and Jesse Helms (chief of the CIA), for example.
And an absolutely amazing character study, in acting and detail. Dark, excellent, underrated film.
