Re: Post here when you beat a game. I mean it!

Great idea. Someone, do this!

All I can say for sure is that RRR and Spec Ops:The Line would be in my top five, but it's a difficult one for me this gen. As an Xbox owner and RPG and Platformer...

Re: Post here when you beat a game. I mean it!

You forgot Nigel West Dickens. He's worth playing it alone.

I agree. Probably my favourite game this gen, to the extent I'm gonna buy the complete edition thing just for zombies and hardcore mode.

Re: What are you playing right now?

It's a shame. The confrontations with the raincoat dude were awesome. Just not the killing of imaginary demons. They should do away with combat completely, and take more inspiration from the Clock...

Re: What are you playing right now?

Ha, great minds and all that. Are you looking for the new PS3 version or the original? This Directors Cut sounds interesting- although, the only way I'd like to see it improved is an almost complete...

Re: What are you playing right now?

With all due respect, why don't you just stick to the finished games thread? If this thread didn't exist, and my only outlet for current games-based discussion was the other one, it wouldn't make me...

Re: What are you playing right now?

I loved Asylum, and it did a great job of showing Batman's "World's greatest detective" side, more so than City. I loved it's slow, methodical pace. But I do prefer the variety, excitement and great...

Re: What are you playing right now?

Arkham City on new game +. What a treat. Spending more time on collecting Riddler trophies and stuff, but this time, I'm realising how much I don't really enjoy that Catwoman sections. Stalking armed...

Re: Roger Ebert: 1942-2013

Didn't he retract the "games aren't art" comments few years ago?

Sad news, to be sure. I didn't agree with a lot of what he said outside of the movie industry, but his reviews tended to be fair...

Re: Post here when you beat a game. I mean it!

really want to give Quantum Conundrum a try- and I say this as someone who believes that Portal was vastly overrated. QC at least doesn't look as sterile. I know, glados was brilliant and had tons of...

Re: What are you playing right now?

Started playing The Walking Dead again (the good one, not the one that's just been released), after only having finished the first episode previously. I've now completed the second, and it was...

Re: What are you playing right now?

I Really want to try out Euro Truck Simulater 2, but my enjoyment of it would likely be limited to driving around parts of England that I know well. Let us know how it is!

Re: What are you playing right now?

Basically, if you want to play as a funnier version of those two guys from Dusk Til Dawn, buy it.

Re: What are you playing right now?

Well, I'd definitely recommend split screen, if just for the lulz. I just love the narrative- decent crime story, and generally enjoyable characters. Assuming you don't take it at all seriously....

Re: What are you playing right now?

Kane & Lynch I'm that desperate for split-screen games. Not looking good on the gameplay front- the shooting feels beefy, but it's like trying to control someone with arthritis, even with controller...

Re: Post here when you beat a game. I mean it!

Army of Two

Tedious (and borderline awful) level design, unremarkable gunplay that doesn't feel as weighty as it should, irritating vehicle sections, no real set pieces... Yet we still had a blast...

Re: What are you playing right now?

Are you playing SS2 with mods? As much as I'd love to be a staunch advocate of gameplay over graphics, I can no longer play stuff like Deus Ex due to how dated they look. i'd love give SS2 a try...

Re: What are you playing right now?

Well, my boxer was forced into retirement on UFC. Quite sad- there's no narrative in the game, but my guy went through a lot- we came ridiculously close to winning the middleweight belt, but we did...

Re: Post here when you beat a game. I mean it!

What video games do you consider to have good a good storyline? I'm not having a dig, you're entitled to an opinion (in fact, whilst I thoroughly enjoyed The Line's narrative, part of me feels that...

Re: What are you playing right now?

I bought myself a copy of UFC Undisputed 3, seeing as it is so cheap on eBay (brand new, just over £10 inc. P&P). After hearing nothing but bad things about most wrestling games that have been...

Re: What are you playing right now?

Regarding Resident Evil 5, not played the DLC, but co-op in the main game is fun up until around the half way mark. I never got round to finishing it.

Had a bash at co-op on Rainbow Six Vegas with...

Re: Post here when you beat a game. I mean it!

Spec Ops: The Line

Out of the very limited selection of games from 2012 I've played, this is easily the best.

Pretty bog standard third-person shooter, gameplay-wise. However, as someone who...

Spec Ops: The Line

Needed to use my HMV card quickly, but the selection of games was dire (understandable, with what the chain is going through right now). I picked this game up after remembering...

My lovely girlfriend bought me the entire Rocky box set whilst she was cavorting around the shops the other day. I kept on going on about Rocky 4 to her after catching it on television a couple of...
