Re: What are you playing right now?

Dude! Stop wasting time on Diablo 3 and get some Dragonfall instead! :D

I'm looking forward to Gran Turismo 7, I'm eager to see what they can do on the PS4. I just hope their tyre model gets more...

Re: Dark Souls 2

Need help with Arty? If you're somewhere in the vicinity of the SL of any of my DS characters I can beat him senseless for you ;)

While I was failing dozens of times at Manus, which other people...

Re: Dark Souls 2

Well, yes and no. There are a few fog gates with really annoying amount and/or type of enemy just waiting in front. But there are luckily some enemy types that go a bit beyond "dude in armor". No, we...

Re: Last movie impressions

Rewatching Edge of Tomorrow on blu-ray. Definitely my favourite movie in 2014! And one of the few times that crackajack and me seem to agree on something ;)

Also been watching Unsere Mütter,...

Re: What are you playing right now?

:D

For context: I did those challenges before I started with Assetto Corsa. When I started with AC it took me about 2:10 to get around Nürburgring GP in a GT3 car, now I'm down to 1:59 and I saw...

Re: Dark Souls 2

Now I'm playing the DLC. It's good. What I've seen so far is, in terms of level & boss design, better than the core game. It has the sense of exploration Dark Souls 2 was so severely lacking. Too bad...

Re: What are you listening to?

h9RA1XdS4zY

I'm also listening to the original, of course. Kavinsky's Outrun is the perfect soundtrack to take a F40 around a track in Assetto Corsa

Re: The Rise of the Ubigame

Early days of WoW were hilarious. PvP servers were madness anyway, since you could be chased down and ganked by some lvl 60 character of the other faction virtually anywhere in the game. And players...

Re: What are you playing right now?

The PP system in GT6 is broken, it was always broken and they never really fixed it. Later on there are plenty of races where cars show up that are way too good for the PP level or other restrictions...

Re: The Rise of the Ubigame

Yes, that's why I put out there that the Ubigame has "won". Now the Crew comes along, which is the Ubigame, just with cars. With pointless missions, unlocks and radio towers to uncover the map. The...

Re: Last movie impressions

Oblivion, oh yes, I fell asleep halfway.

Jack Reacher: a typical dad movie. The kind of dad who wants to think he's the boss but secretly dreams of being a super badass kicking ass and taking...

Re: Post here when you beat a game. I mean it!

What party did you have at the end if you don't mind me asking?

I found the last battle quite a difficulty spike, but after abusing a number of my people's abilities went over quite well. Well,...

Re: What are you playing right now?

Started Dark Souls 2 again, after buying the DLCs. Found 2 of the 3 DLC entrances already, jumped into the first one I found. So far liking it quite a lot, it's much more like Demon's and Dark Souls...

Re: What are you playing right now?

As I've been ranting about in other threads (http://gamecritics.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25827), I spent some time in the weekend suffering through Dragon Age: Inquisition. Haven't had so many...

The Rise of the Ubigame

From the best of 2014 thread:

The problem is that Ubisoft has been so successful with this formula, that other companies start copying the approach wholesale. You've mentioned Shadows over Mordor....

Re: Best Games of 2014

If you like SR Returns, you should definitely play Shadowrun Returns: Dragonfall, which did come out this year and is at least worth a best expansion title ;)

@Ubigame: the Ubigame I'm currently...

Ok, you know the drill by now: it's getting close to the end of the year, the big hitters of November are sinking in and the world demands that our forums look at the best and worst of games in 2014....

Re: What are you playing right now?

Got the Dark Souls 2 DLC. Starting a new character (basically my first character I played on PS3, but I can't tolerate the low fps on console now that I'm used to 60fps on PC). Let's see...

Re: What are you playing right now?

I played a couple of hours of the Shadows of the Damned until I got tired of the dick jokes. I probably would have found it funnier 15 years ago. So no, not really worth going back unless you run out...

Re: Post here when you beat a game. I mean it!

Well, for me it's the choice between buying Lords of the Fallen or buy the Dark Souls 2 DLC for my next Souls fix. I guess going with the original might be the better idea?

Re: Scary Games

I think the scripting has to do with it. The "scary" games like Dead Space, Amnesia or FEAR have quite obvious triggers for many of their "scares". Demon's Souls doesn't rely on triggers, but is more...

Re: What Are You Reading Right Now?

All You Need Is Kill, the light novel Edge of Tomorrow is based on. There are a number of differences between book and movie. While the movie focuses clearly on Tom Cruise, the book goes into more...
