Re: Frozen Synapse RED

I picked up the first one before it came out. I admired it, but I sadly couldn't get my head around the game. It punished me until I gave up. I think that I might get this because it could be...

Re: Torchlight

@Li-Ion... too funny!

Yeah, I was having a co-worker (not Chi) about this Diablo issue. What was addictive and amazing 10 years ago, just doesn't have the same zing.

Oddly enough, 10 years ago...

Torchlight

Who's psyched for the sequel? I'm playing through the original for the first time and it is really fantastic. What surprised me is how well the graphics hold up by choosing a more "cartoony" style....

Good thoughts all! I took my two year old out in the city (NYC... the ONLY city) just before Christmas and we walked through the Nintendo World in Rock Center. She thought it was pretty cool and I...

Re: What Are You Reading Right Now?

@Li-Ion, I loved Shadow of the Wind. I can't remember who in my family "discovered" the book. One hardback was shipped around the country multiple times. Right now I think it is with my...

Re: Ep 47: CONTEST!

Probably playing OnLive for the first time. 1.) it works pretty darned well. 2.) I kind of like it. 3.) the demo function is what ever single game developer needs to embrace.

It was really...

Re: OnLive is free now, have you tried it?

I thought that the system would completely suck. Actually, I thought it would be even worse than complete suck and I would require some sort of therapy.

Rather, I found a flawed, but interesting...

OnLive is free now, have you tried it?

I saw that OnLive just dropped its $15 subscription free. Last night I downloaded the client on my 2 year old iMac.

It certainly wasn't perfect but it was way better than I expected. I played...

Re: GameCritics After Dark

I'm catching up after an itouch mishap... loved the after dark session!

I'll also throw in a vote for two people playing a game (new to them) and discussing.

Here are some other thoughts:...

Re: Who here makes music?

Thanks! I'm glad you liked it. The singing is the main reason that I'm infrequent on this, my only forum. If I disappear for awhile, it is usually because I'm doing a show somewhere.

As for...

Re: Dragon Quest IX Thoughts?

After getting my butt handed to me in a boss battle, I went back and did some class switching. I changed my priest to a thief and the biggest thing that I noticed was that all of a sudden I was...

Re: Dragon Quest IX Thoughts?

Totally agree there. So... I'm not good at action games and I'm not good at RPGs. Oh well, at least I have fun not being good at games! :)

I just made it to the continent to the East after...

Too Human- the thread you all have been waiting for!

(and by you all, I mean Mr. Spaeth)

So I just started on the game. It's interesting. I really like the art style and the setting.

The controls are taking a bit to master... My consolation is...
