Re: What RPGs have you been playing?

Ooh, a guild. Good idea. I'm seriously going to look into that. Thanks! I'll have to look around to find some.

In regards to people doing PVP all the time in WoW .. why? If it's not an issue...

Re: What RPGs have you been playing?

Thanks for the tip LordFarid. I started out on a Neutral Server as a Dward Ranger, but I'm eager for the RP. The leveling and questing is fun of course, but I'm looking for good entertainment and I...

Re: So about that Kirby and his Canvas Curse...

I was this ' ' close to grabbing the copy that I saw tonight. It was left up by a cash register, away from the other DS games and all the rest of the Kirby Canvas Curse's were sold out. So it was...

I haven't read all of this thread, but I'm so excited about my fathers day gift that I gotta make a post.

I just got WoW and will be playing it after it loads.

Yeah me. !:)

Re: Nintendo Wants No Part in HD Era

I was hoping that they'd release it too. My HD ready 52" widescreen has been giving me very little value over the last 5 years. I'd like to see more support for it from all areas.

But, the last...

Re: Nintendo Wants No Part in HD Era

Sure, but with that having been said, HD is not going to be the standard for at least another couple years. Definitely farther out than when the revolution should be releasing.

And the HD...

Re: Nintendo Wants No Part in HD Era

It seems impractical to me. I've read all the articles recently about how expensive production costs are for games these days. Throwing an expectation of HD level graphics just raises those costs...

Re: The Legend of Zelda: The Twilight Princess

Adding voice acting to games with a well designed atmosphere can be more damaging than beneficial. Just take a look at Rayman 2 on the Dreamcast as compared to when it came out on the PS2 (with...

Re: Speculation: The Revolution controller will be badass.

The Macintosh Powerbooks all have multi-touch sensitivity available. Put two fingers on the touch screen and it scrolls your screen rather than move the pointer. It's ingeniously simple and I can't...

Re: No Xbox for You!

Ok .. so I told my wife two months ago that I want an Xbox so I can play people online. She said ok and I proceeded to look for a system. There were none in stock ... anywhere.

So, I had to...

Re: PlayStation Portable Not a Sellout?

I was browsing through a mobile computing magazine the other day and saw a comparison of the DS and PSP (go figure).

The feature that caught my eye was that they listed the retail price of the PSP...

Re: What's the word on the DS?

I posted those scans of 007 and Age of Empires and they were mag scans. I didn't even think of it being an issue :(.

But, I didn't get any flack for it either .. so I suspect you could get away...

Re: Not good...

I see your point in the value of imagination as a coping mechanism for children. But, we shouldn't misconstrue the use of the word 'need' from that text as a justification for the imagery and...

Cris, per your description .. I just had to get this game and try it. I picked it up yesterday and I think you nailed it in your description. I've been having a lot of fun with the game and would...

Re: Not good...

Funny. I'm not confusing the real world with the video game world, just identifying similarities and occasionally react to them (in jovial fashion with my wife).

I don't really see how this...

I guess the problem here is that the supposed material (being discussed) is deemed worthy or even necessary for artistic growth. But, I believe that the material that will not find a suitable...

Re: Not good...

I disagree. There are not limitations being put on game developers here. There are only limitations being put on retailers and what they are legally allowed to sell a minor.

To take a quote...

Re: Not good...

Honestly, the only people who should have a problem with this law are children under the age of 18 who want to purchase games with Mature content.

The law isn't changing anything that's...

Re: What's the word on the DS?

The decision's been made and the DS doesn't have a built in MP3 player. It would have some added value to the system, but that value would be limited by the cost of technology needed to support it. ...

Re: Xbox Store Seen Opening New Gaming Revenue Streams

I can see how this will allow sponsors to set up events. Imagine gamers who own Nascar Chase for the Cup 2007 being able to buy a pass into tryouts for a Coca Cola sponsored race.

Re: 007 & Age of Empires

CAn you guy's give me an idea of what Katamari Damacy is? I'm not familiar with that game.

Are Euro games always more expensive than US prices or is this just a DS thing? Can't blame ya either...

Re: question about PSP memory

I don't know about game saves, but I know that the average MP3 that I have is about 2-3 megabytes. I guess that would be about 10-15 songs on a 32 mbyte card.

007 & Age of Empires

007 looks like it may use the same type of control's that M:Hunters is using. I think it looks a lot like what anyone would have expected. Still wondering if it'll be online.

The Age of empires...
