Re: The Bloodborne Thread

Interesting article today by Brad (http://drinkingcoffeecola.blogspot.ie/2015/03/so-you-love-bloodborne-but-you-hated.html), where he canvassed opinion from those who hated the Souls games but love ...

Re: The Bloodborne Thread

So, the game is approaching greatness in my eyes.

I still haven't been able to use the damn gun (parry), but am progressing through the world, which is massive. Some really weird things are...

Re: What are you playing right now?

Agree, I don't understand the favourable reception for this game, to me it was just boring. Maybe it gets better later but the initial gameplay was extremely tedious.

Re: The Bloodborne Thread

That guy with the gun is kicking my ass

Protip: if someone happens to fall off a cliff or something like that, you can quit out of the game (using the system menu) and reload immediately and...

Re: The Bloodborne Thread

I hit a real wall with that second boss so I went exploring Central Yharnham. I think I've covered it all, though I haven't found the weapon that people have mentioned is in there somewhere. I found...

Re: The Bloodborne Thread

Good tips there.

I played for 2 hours when it unlocked at midnight last night and whoooo-eee, it's something all right!

I don't know what that something is right now. Firstly I would hate to...

Re: The Bloodborne Thread

There's definitely a lot of Souls-fatigue around; we all now know what happens when a podcast host becomes enamoured of the games :)

I'm can live with it because I don't follow gaming news so...

The Bloodborne Thread

Though it won't be out in Europe till Friday, record your impressions, thoughts, comments etc here.

I've maintained a media blackout till this morning, when I peeped at the Eurogamer...

Re: What are you playing right now?

:) I checked in on Saturday and thought you'd all gone to the Rapture. I was just back from 2 weeks away so had nothing to actually post here.

Since Sat, I have checked out Hotline Miami 2 (a...

Re: What are you playing right now?

QXZ, I thought of you on Saturday while I was playing Rollers of the Realm :p

It's an rpg where you progress through various playfields trying to beat the level via pinball-based shenanigans. The...

Re: Post here when you beat a game. I mean it!

Dying Light (PS4)

Too long, far too long. It was fun while it lasted, but I was ready for it to end even before I reached the second open area. Then I critical pathed it and it just dragged on far...

Re: Gaming Goals - 2015

For this one, I almost popped down to Gamestop the other day to see if they had The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion in stock. :p

Not sure if that will be the one, I kinda think it would be nice to revisit...

Re: Daily Game Deals

There are some great deals on PSN for PS3 games at the moment:

Lost Planet 3 - 4.99
Child of Light - 6.29
Deus EX HR - 3.59
Okami HD - 6.29

and loads of other good games I can't see prices...

Re: What are you playing right now?

Dying Light - very very good; the missions are a bit annoying at times but still a good game.

Demon's Souls - just a dip into it here and there for the Gaming Goals thread. Nothing to see here,...

Re: Gaming Goals - 2015

Okay, I know the last thing anyone wants to read is more Souls chat so I'll keep it brief

Made significant progress on this last night by getting the Soldier's Trophy (all the weapons). Had to...

Re: Post here when you beat a game. I mean it!

Wow wow wow! Congrats are in order; you should have put this down as one of your gaming goals for 2015 :D

Super-efficient there compared to the World Rankings too.

Great to see that the game...

Re: What are you playing right now?

I got back into Sunless Sea, and am making good progress now - I restarted twice more. I've now turned it to manual save - there are lots of incidents where even when you are being careful, the game...

Re: Gaming Goals - 2015

Thanks! It will be a long term project, doing a few levels here and there. Embarrassingly enough, I have already got the Euro version platinumed (this is the US version of the game), so this is my...

Re: Gaming Goals - 2015

I thought Brothers was just fine at the time, but it's been improving every time I think of it. An excellent little game.

Big news on Goal #4 for me

I was playing this, trying to work out...

Wolfenstein: The New Order (PS4)

Good game. It's hard for me to get as enthused for it as some people have (http://www.gamecritics.com/daniel-weissenberger/wolfenstein-the-new-order-review), but...

Re: What are you playing right now?

Twenty hours? Wow, that really sucks. I couldn't see myself starting over again at that stage.

I will give it one last go, I'm going to try and get the Judgement Egg and then do a few Salt Lions...

Re: What are you playing right now?

I think I'm done with Sunless Sea. I actually like the exploring, but all I'm doing is collecting Port Reports and swapping them for enough Fuel and Supplies to go and collect more Port Reports.

Re: Canceled my (The) Order

I just read the Eurogamer review, it doesn't sound that bad actually. :)

I'm wary of big sites putting the boot in on games anyway, they usually pile onto lower budget releases when they get an...

Re: What are you playing right now?

I am now :p The plot is pretty demented, in a good way. 14 years!

I have reached Berlin after a weird encounter on a train. Enjoying it so far.

Good luck with your Xcom playthrough, Li-Ion....

Re: What are you playing right now?

Ah yeah, I'm still in the bunker complex at the start, got stuck at a big iron door. I'll get into it properly soon.
