With the exception of a few games, I think most developers should abandon the 3D effect by default and turn it on only for small occasions like cut-scenes. This is how SMT Devil Survivor Overclocked...

While it was cutting edge for its day, the backlighting on the GB SP isn't what we're use to with today's iphone screens. It's like there's a layer of fog over the screen.

Since the 3DS is a native HD screen, it had to upscale the DS graphics to fill the screen. Consequently, the graphics do appear more blurry at first. I'm someone who likes sharp graphics so this...

I bought the 3DS on launch day as a replacement DS and I have little buyer's remorse as its gotten plenty of use for both DS and 3DS content. At $170, the 3DS is a pretty safe bet as DS replacement....

I would have preferred $70 eShop credit as well, but I understand that it would cost Nintendo money to reimburse royalties to developers. Nintendo giving out copies of their own games doesn't cost...

This is why traditionally there is weak third party support for Nintendo consoles. By creating something so different it allows them to stand out in the marketplace, but it also alienate developers...
