Re: Revolution is Gonna Suck!

Goddammit, Nintendo. I was really hoping that the Revolution was going to be a success, but I don't know now.

If it doesn't succeed, there's no way I'm buying a next-gen system.

Re: More proof that Sega isn't dead, just resting... redux

How exactly is this "throwing shit against the wall and seeing if it sticks"? This is a game some of have been waiting years for--I was anticipating this being released on the Dreamcast, no lie. And...

Re: Next-Gen Titles Announcements Started Already?

No offense, LordFarid, but what about those of us who really don't care about graphics at all? Should we have any interest in the next generation?

The Revolution sounds intriguing (who knows what...

SNES Super Mario Kart question

I recently bought a used copy of Super Mario Kart on Ebay, and it arrived today.

Upon playing the game (and realizing I am horrible at it, lol), I noticed that all the unlockable tracks and cups...

Re: Evil Games Company vs. Eviler Games Company

Moriarty, when Nintendo first started to produce the NES for American consumers, they signed publishers on one condition: you had to make games only for them, and no one else. This effectively killed...

Re: Nintendo Revolution: What Nintendo Will Do (IMO)

As an aside, am I the only person here who is only excited about the Revolution, as far as next-gen consoles go? I feel the Xbox 2 and PS3 will ultimately fail consumers. Nintendo seems to be the...

Re: Nintendo Revolution: What Nintendo Will Do (IMO)

Does anyone here believe Nintendo will do another Super Gameboy/Gameboy Player-esque device for the Revolution?

I was just playing my old Super Gameboy today, and I thought perhaps a DS or GBA2...

Re: Nintendo Revolution: What Nintendo Will Do (IMO)

Reading this thread has made me--a person very wary of the next-generation consoles, quite interested.

I had previously disregarded all three of the upcoming consoles on one reason alone; if they...

Re: F-word On "Computer Game" - Another Example of Bad Journalism

This is The Sun we're talking about. Do you really think anyone is even going to remotely talk about this? It's sort of like those "Werewolf Man Found In Cave" stories in The Globe.

Re: Nintendo to Drop D-Pad and A/B Buttons?

The best gaming controller I've ever used or bought is my Mas Systems (http://www.massystems.com/) arcade stick with Saturn, DC, and PC compatibility.

And this is coming from someone who has...

I don't know if this can be considered gratutitious with the "What are You Getting For Christmas?" thread, below, but I decided to make this thread anyway. :p

So, what did everyone recieve for...

Re: Who will be the next President of the United States?

Do you honestly believe Saddam would even let something like Satyagraha take place in his country? He'd have them all killed.

Re: Who will be the next President of the United States?

Avptallarita, thank you for mentioning that first. What dictators do you know of that were rebelled against by the people and overthrown? Very few. People only are freed when incentive is given. And...

Re: Who will be the next President of the United States?

If people really want to end the war, I think they should vote Badnarik. He'd bring all of the troops home--from every country on the planet.

I doubt too many people would support that (especially...

Re: Who will be the next President of the United States?

I don't understand why Democrats seem to keep beating the entire "We went to war for WMDs and where are they?" drum. Isn't what you accomplish more important?

I'd watch this...

Re: The Preorder Bonus Thread

Yeah, jdingo, "shmup" means shoot-em-up. I picked up on it from Mike Bracken's review of Ikaruga here a while ago and liked it. :D

Re: The Preorder Bonus Thread

The only one that would excite me is Gradius V. Seeing experienced shmup fans in action is like watching a martial arts master or something. Amazing stuff.

"Rip and Tear!"

Last night I saw Gross Pointe Blank (you know, the John Cusack movie) for the first time in years. This may seem irrelevant, but there was something that really caught my eye in the movie. In the...

Re: Resident Evil...TWO!

Although I'm not a fan of RE, I did enjoy part 2. I sold my PSX RE games a few years ago, however. That GC version didn't click either. RE4 looks great though.

--Oh, yeah, back to your question....

Re: Games Which You Were Expecting, But Never Happened?

Like Camoor, I really want that Aeon Flux game. The material would actually lend itself quite readily to a game, if someone would just develop it. I caught wind of the series a couple months ago, and...
